︎︎︎Pratt Freshman Tote
Every year the Pratt Institute Libraries gifts incoming freshmen with newly designed tote bags. As the graphic designer for PIL 2017-2018, I came up with the concept of creating a tessellated perspective of the various areas of the Main Campus’ Library. The three illustrations depict the atrium, exterior and “the stacks” (where the books are kept).
Each graphic also includes a small unique feature: a bust, a cart and a sculpture/reading table. There are other particular details that the library and I didn’t want to overlook such as open doors signifying transparency and acceptance, birds on the roof, a Robert Mapplethorpe book and so on.
All the final tote bags were printed on canvas and handed out out on Welcome Day 2018. Photographs are property of Pratt Institute.
